Why this matters
Our Regional and outback communities are full of capable, creative, hard-working people who bring colour, variety, and life to our towns, often with long hours, slim margins, and very little recognition.
For many small regional and outback businesses, the usual marketing activities no longer work the way they once did.
I love and appreciate the colour, variety, and courage these businesses bring to our main streets and communities, so my work exists to help make that effort visible, viable, connected, and supported.
My work exists to support these communities through imagery that reflects you honestly, advertising that actually works where you live, and connection that helps things get done.
The best stories are told, products are sold and dreams are made with beautiful imagery, whether you are hosting an event, building a business or celebrating your community.
IMAGERY
Photography with Purpose
My photography work is about clarity, connection, and credibility — not trends or fads.
I work with regional businesses, organisations, and communities who need images that genuinely represent who they are and what they do.
Why my approach is different
I don’t just take photos, I think and plan about how images will be used:
Websites
Social media
Promotional material
Storytelling and documentation
This means fewer images wasted, better value for money, and more images doing actual work.
What I photograph
Small and regional businesses
Personal brands and creatives
Community projects and organisations
Events, workshops, and initiatives
Regional lifestyle and place-based storytelling
Imagery includes:
Photography done for you
Outback Camera Dates photography tuition and workshops
Need photography?
Photography is offered selectively and by enquiry, often as part of a broader visibility or storytelling project. An exmaple is professional headshots for your website and marketing materials.
For example, headshot packages start from $249 for 3 images you will love and wonder how you ever survived without.
ADVERTISING
Helping good work be found
Advertising, in my world, is about visibility that fits regional realities.
I support regional businesses and events to be discovered and remembered, without the pressure of constantly chasing algorithms or doing everything themselves.
Advertising includes:
Coordinated promotion across channels both online and offline
“What’s On” features and campaigns
Eureka Outback: a regional advertising, visibility and connection platform currently adding new services — excited to be launching this Feb 2026!
Light, practical website support to ensure you have an easy to manage yet impressive digital footprint
This isn’t big-city advertising.
It’s thoughtful, practical promotion that respects time, budgets, and community context.
CONNECTION
Helping people and projects move forward
Connection is the quiet work behind progress.
I provide practical project support for regional organisations, councils, and community groups — helping ideas, funding, and people come together in ways that lead to real outcomes.
Connection includes:
Contract and project-based support
Grant and funding applications
Community and regional development projects
Program coordination and delivery
Workshops and facilitated sessions
Acting as a link between government, councils, business, and community
I’m particularly suited to work that sits between people and systems where clarity and trust matter.
ABOUT ME
I’ve spent all of my working life in regional and outback Australia, drawn to places where people are resourceful, communities matter, and progress often depends on people wearing more than one hat.
I’m a natural problem-solver and gap-filler and am happy to step in where things need clarifying, coordinating, or connecting. I’m curious by nature and practical by instinct, and I’ve learned to work comfortably between people, projects, and systems.
From 2006 to 2021, I worked as a professional photographer, travelling extensively through regional Queensland and creating imagery for businesses, organisations, events, and communities and assisting them with marketing. That work shaped how I see the world, teaching me the power of good imagery and clear communication.
Since then, my work has broadened. I’ve worked in disability support and with an outback disability organisation, supported regional digital development through a role with State Library Queensland, and continue to run the small business I started with my husband (Barcaldine Car Hire).
Each of these experiences has deepened my understanding of how regional communities actually function and what helps them move forward.
Today, my work sits across imagery, advertising, and connection:
helping good work be seen, supporting practical promotion that fits regional realities, and providing project support that turns ideas and funding into delivered outcomes.
I care deeply about the colour, variety, and courage small businesses and community initiatives bring to outback towns and I am motivated to help them remain visible, supported, and sustainable.
